Rowana: a light in the darkness

My own journey from tired, ill and overweight to energised, curious and hopeful inspired NOSH ROCKS.

A letter from Ro

I believe change begins with understanding

Hi, I’m Rowana — Ro. More than eleven years ago I lost a dear friend to bowel cancer. Around me, people I loved were facing serious health challenges at increasingly young ages. At the same time I was in a highly stressful corporate job, struggling with low energy, weight gain, menopause symptoms, pain from scoliosis and low mood.

Learning about food, stress, rest and lifestyle helped me make steady changes. I became more energised, happier and more connected with my body. That experience inspired me to create NOSH ROCKS: a place where information feels human, food is celebrated and nobody is shamed for where they are starting.

Later, training as a Rapid Transformational Therapy practitioner deepened my interest in the relationship between mind and body. I now bring food education, reflection and practical tools together so you can make choices that feel right for you.

With love,
Ro

My vision

Take back the power over your own health.

I want to inspire you and give you practical tools to build a way of eating and living that supports both physical and mental wellbeing.

The cornerstone of NOSH ROCKS is delicious, satisfying, minimally processed, nutrient-rich food — local, seasonal and organic where possible. NOSH is slang for food and also stands for Naturally Organic, Slim & Healthy. ROCKS began as Ro’s Carb-cutting Kick Start: a memorable way to take the first few steps.

A thoughtful note: NOSH ROCKS provides education and wellbeing support. It does not replace personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant or have a history of disordered eating, speak with an appropriate healthcare professional before making substantial dietary changes.
